IdeenBox
Hot on the trail of new product ideas
The name sounds a bit strange at first, but the idea behind the “IdeenBox” is to bring together a package of creative concepts that outdoes even the coolest lunch box you had as a kid. Basically, the IdeenBox gives high school students some fascinating everyday insights behind the scenes at a technology and engineering company. It’s also a great opportunity to gain on-the-job experience. The IdeenBox started out as a project with schools throughout Germany and has already become something of a tradition.
During the IdeenBox project, high school students are given the opportunity to track a product from the original idea to the finished product. During the entire process, the students are accompanied by specialists from the ThyssenKrupp training center, Zollverein School of Management and Design, Ruhr University in Bochum, and the German newspaper Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung.
Take a look into the future: With “Find-your-way” you find online, what we have to offer you.

As well as giving students a first glimpse into the different areas of business within an industrial company, the IdeenBox project allows students to do a quick trial internship with one of the partner companies – an excellent way to gain first-hand experience in the world of work.
For more information on the IdeenBox project and how to take part, feel free to get in touch with someone in our personnel department. They’ll be delighted to help. You can also go on a virtual tour to work out your own “roadmap to the future” – and perhaps win a quick, trial internship right away!
