Infrastructure

All of the facilities required for the development of a national economy which are not in place for reasons of private commercial feasibility (e.g. transportation routes, water and energy supplies, educational, health and social facilities).

Innovation

Our scientists and engineers are always a few steps ahead of the market when moving forwards. Their innovations help to continually improve products and processes, and develop new ways of solving our customers’ problems. They have a longing to come up with great new ideas to solve problems. Brilliant minds are the driving force behind every idea, fuelling the will to come up with new ideas and improve on existing concepts. In order to continue developing our product range in a customer-oriented and market-oriented manner, our development teams work closely with our customers. A far-reaching network, often based on long-standing partnerships, with universities and other research institutes also allows current scientific findings to be integrated into our work.

A current example of a strategic partnership with long-term orientation is the founding of the Interdisciplinary Center for Advanced Materials Simulation (ICAMS) at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum. The institute was inaugurated and started its work in June 2008. ICAMS is Europe’s first development center for new high-tech materials that researches new key technologies for use in developing materials.

Internship

An internship gives people an opportunity to experience work at first hand and to gain vital experience. An internship in a specialist, technical or commercial field will allow you to experience our specialists during their daily work, who will then impart their knowledge, skills and personality while allowing you to make interesting contacts. This not only gives you a valuable insight into an international company, but also puts you on a good footing when it comes to getting a job after finishing your studies.
