Diversity
The melting pot of ideas.
Outstanding ideas spring from brilliant inspiration. Inspiration resulting from many different cultures. Every individual has his or her own unique background – and visions and dreams that can be fundamentally different from everyone else’s.
At ThyssenKrupp, we are open to any suggestion which helps us shape the future. That means everyone can become “one of us.” Our teams work across Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, and many other regions. And although 56% of our employees live in Germany, we are a global company which sets an example of a workplace that promotes and thrives on diversity. We are committed supporters of equal opportunities and have zero tolerance for discrimation – neither from our workforce nor from individuals who would like to join our workforce.
Your whole personality – gender, nationality, sentiments, or views – as well as your ideas are what really matter to us.

We believe in these ideals so strongly that we’ve put them down in black and white: the Diversity Charter www.charta-der-vielfalt.de. As one of 300 co-signing companies in Germany, we’re publicly expressing our commitment to diversity, fairness, and respect with this document. We’re proud to be a part of this initiative, one organized and endorsed by Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany. But what does the Diversity Charter mean in terms of action? We’ve promised to create a work environment that is free of prejudice and open to everyone. These kinds of values have always been integral to our ThyssenKrupp corporate culture – so we’re up to the challenge!
