Sustainability
ThyssenKrupp makes its mark.
As a global technology company, ThyssenKrupp should lodge in people’s minds as a driving force in innovation – and not as somebody who doesn’t think about sustainability. Which is also one of the reasons why we place an emphasis on respecting the needs of our staff and business partners. In fact, they’re central to everything we do.
Developing the future, for you.
The following is short summary of the measures we have put in place to ensure that we don’t just concentrate on developing the technologies of the future, but actually help safeguard the future. To find out more about this issue, visit the Sustainability area of the main ThyssenKrupp website.
The people in the center of attention: ThyssenKrupp gladly takes on responsibliity – not only for ist employees.

Being fair to everyone is a given at ThyssenKrupp. We help improve the quality of life for everyone in all of the countries in which we operate. At ThyssenKrupp, we actively foster opportunity: no matter where you come from, no matter where you want to go, you can count on the support of our company. We openly and wholeheartedly combat discrimination, foster tolerance, and do our part to make sure that no one lives on the margins of society. Trust and mutual respect are the cornerstones of our success, although for us they’ve always been inherent to the way we think and work.
Children and young people are the powerhouse of tomorrow’s innovations. Which is why ThyssenKrupp actively supports schools, colleges, and all types of educational establishments. In Germany alone, we employ 151 full-time instructors who open the door to new careers for more than 3,700 apprentices every year. This includes organizing a variety of school events and our increasingly popular Ideenpark – a platform for young people to express their ideas. We don’t just do this because we feel we owe something to the next generation, we do this because people of all ages are bubbling over with brilliant ideas.
We also treat the environment with the utmost respect. As part of our environmental management program, we’ve made a personal commitment to use all resources responsibly. This includes protecting the purity of water, avoiding air pollution, and planting renewable vegetation. The environmental principle of the “circular economy” also ensures that valuable resources are protected and important materials are reused.
