Your responsibilities

Sales Key Account Manager for thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America, Inc., in Troy, Michigan. Duties: manage and direct account and sales engineering activities for assigned programs, including oversight of financial objectives, manufacturing launch, purchasing, product development and engineering, quality, timing, program budgets, APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), obsolescence, warranty, logistics, business growth, and team management; serve as the main point of contact for customer engineering and purchasing departments, and coordinate communications between customer and company overseas departments; obtain new business and identify opportunities on a global basis, and coordinate Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes and the analysis of market and customer trends, competitive positioning, and pricing strategies; manage creation and maintenance of both internal and external Open Issues lists, and provide all required support to both customer and internal teams in order to ensure the successful launch of programs; analyze cost-related and strategic issues to identify optimal business and engineering solutions, and lead efforts to launch assigned programs on time, within budget, and in full accordance with customer specifications and requirements; 20% travel, both domestic and international. Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Industrial/Industrial Systems Engineering, or Business, or foreign equivalent. 2 years of experience in a sales management or an engineering position in the automotive suspension coil spring and stabilizer bar industry. 2 years of experience with: leading automotive suspension coil spring and stabilizer bar projects from quotation to final product approval, including coordinating logistics, engineering, sales, purchasing, production, and ensuring compliance with VDA and IATF 16949 standards; analyzing the impact of changes to automotive suspension coil springs and stabilizer bars upon cost and price structures, including analyzing the impact of changes to materials prices and justifying price increases to customers; directing strategic sales, forecast planning, and new business portfolio activities for automotive suspension coil spring and stabilizer bar products; liaising between engineering, manufacturing, and sales operations regarding prototyping and launch development phases for new automotive coil spring and stabilizer bar projects; prototype and production manufacturing processes for automotive coil springs and stabilizer bars, including ensuring compliance with VDA and IATF 16949 standards; preparing feasibility studies during automotive coil spring and stabilizer bar project quotation phases.
