The Tax Analyst main objective is the preparation and filing of the federal consolidated return, other federal income tax returns, and state and local income tax returns as well as assisting in the timely preparation of annual tax provisions subject to IAS 12.
Primary Objectives:
- Gather and analyze information needed for the preparation of foreign, federal, state and local income and franchise tax returns.
- Preparation of foreign, federal, state and local corporate income and franchise tax returns, including supporting work papers, identification of book/tax differences, and review of state apportionment.
- Preparation of quarterly federal, state and local income tax estimated payments including extensions.
- Preparation of calculations and reporting of tax provisions subject to IAS 12,
- Proactively resolve state notices to minimize assessments and prepares responses to state tax notices miscellaneous filings including (annual reports, LLC’s filings, etc.)
- Support Managers in defending the company during tax audits.
- Assist with tax research related to tax audits and tax compliance activities.
- Assist with identifying and implementing tax planning strategies to meet the Company’s objectives.
- Assist with tax process automation projects, workpaper improvements and special projects as needed.
- Provide tax support to internal business units.
