Communities & networks that make a difference!

Openness, mutual respect and communication at eye level are core values of thyssenkrupp's corporate culture. Our strength lies in diversity and exchange - every opinion counts, every idea can make a big difference.

Our 98,000 colleagues worldwide bring unique skills and perspectives that enrich our company. 98,000 people who grow together with passion and inspiration. At thyssenkrupp, we promote networking and dialog - across departments, locations and continents. Whether in our Pride networks, women's networks or many others: Here we stand up for each other, stick together and pave the way forward together.

PRIDE@tk

PRIDE@tk

A particularly strong network at thyssenkrupp is our PRIDE@tk community, whose members actively campaign for LGBTQIA+ rights. They stand up for the interests of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual and all non-binary people. They do valuable educational work, raise awareness of the issue of Pride, reduce prejudice and promote tolerance inside and outside thyssenkrupp. Allies, people who do not belong to a minority themselves but are actively committed to equality for all, are also active in the community.

The network uses a variety of formats to promote authentic representation of the Pride community and organizes events that raise awareness of Pride issues. Joint activities are planned and carried out in collaboration with the Pride network at thyssenkrupp Steel, which focuses on industrial employees. An outstanding example of the network's commitment is thyssenkrupp's official participation in Christopher Street Day, with which we as a Group send a clear signal for diversity and tolerance.

I am part of the PRIDE@tk community because diversity and acceptance are the key to a strong corporate culture. Everyone deserves equal rights and respect - regardless of sexual identity or orientation.

Women's network@tk

Frauennetzwerke

Numerous networks at thyssenkrupp have set themselves the goal of supporting women in actively shaping their careers. With the company-wide “Web of Women (wow!)” network, we offer an inspiring platform that connects women at thyssenkrupp in all professional groups and at all hierarchical levels. This network for women makes it possible to network, exchange ideas and bring common concerns directly to the thyssenkrupp Executive Board.

Women have also established impressive women's networks in our companies: “Women@MX” at thyssenkrupp Materials Services is one such network that is used by women across company boundaries. The “Global Women Community” at thyssenkrupp Polysius, “women@Uhde” at thyssenkrupp Uhde, “wow@steel” at thyssenkrupp Steel and the “Empowering Network” at thyssenkrupp Marine Systems are further networks for women that promote an open exchange and represent the interests of women in the Group.

Regular information events, panel discussions and training sessions offer our female employees the opportunity to promote and develop their professional interests. These initiatives ensure that women at thyssenkrupp are not only heard, but also given comprehensive support to succeed in their careers.

I appreciate the wide range of topics and the dialogue with colleagues from other areas and locations. The women's network is a ‘safe space’: what is discussed stays within the group. There are very good suggestions, tips or simply support.

Open Digital Community

The Open Digital Community is an important part of our digital strategy at thyssenkrupp. It offers IT experts and interested parties from a wide range of business areas the opportunity to network and exchange ideas internationally. In the global network, employees from Europe, India, Greater China and North America, among others, work together on digital challenges and share their experiences.

A highlight of the community are the regular “DigiTables”, where participants meet every two months or so to discuss current digital topics such as big data and machine learning. These lively discussions, which highlight both successful and failed projects, offer a valuable opportunity for joint learning and further development.

Another format is the “DigiPodcasts”: In regular podcasts, our IT professionals provide exciting insights into their projects. The focus is on topics such as cloud services and IT security, offering listeners valuable information and inspiration for their own work.

Brand Ambassador Community

The Group-wide Brand Ambassador Community consists of dedicated employees who voluntarily and passionately provide authentic insights into their professional life at thyssenkrupp on their private LinkedIn profiles.

How do I optimize my profile? Which topics are well received on LinkedIn? How can I increase my own reach? At regular meetings, the Brand Ambassadors exchange ideas with communication experts from the businesses.

Participation in the Brand Ambassador Community has numerous advantages. It enables employees to expand their professional network and visibility. At the same time, they can position themselves as experts in their professional fields.

NWoW Volunteers

The NWoW Volunteers (New Ways of Working) at thyssenkrupp are a dedicated group of employees who are committed to transforming our work culture. They are pioneers of modern ways of working and innovative solutions that improve efficiency and collaboration within the company.

Through active exchange and joint new ideas and projects, the volunteers help to establish new working methods that meet the needs of employees. This community plays a crucial role in implementing new ways of working that promote agile working, cross-segment collaboration and creativity. In this way, the NWoW volunteer community creates tangible added value for all employees.
