Electrical/Control/Software MULTI® ET/R&D
A passion for Automation
You could barely tear the soldering iron from his hand as a child. Back then Daniel Bauer was already meticulously building small alarm systems and radios. His enthusiasm for technology remains unchanged today and that’s a good thing. As a development engineer at tk Elevator Innovation GmbH, he is a key employee who can be relied on for creative solutions. Daniel Bauer is 28 years old and studied automation technology majoring in software, fieldbuses and networks, gaining initial experience in aircraft and automotive construction. But it was only after completing his Masters that he discovered the diversity of elevator technology. He has now been at thyssenkrupp for almost three years and is involved in the groundbreaking MULTI project. He is responsible for automation technology and maintenance across the project. He also handles tasks relating to the topic of test setups or contacts other companies in the ongoing search for innovative technologies.
“What I find particularly interesting about this project are the constant new tasks that automatically arise as a result of the ongoing development of the MULTI,” says Daniel Bauer. And in combination with attractive working time models and the open collaboration in the team this results in an ideal job for him. “I enjoy being able to make a real difference in the project and taking responsibility,” he says. Bauer also likes mentoring the student interns, who bring enthusiasm and fresh ideas with them from university. He enjoys the dialogue and is known for being able to provide the young interns with a solution to almost every question, and always in a very open and engaging way.
